It's been a while since I made an announcement (and Episode 3 has been up for over two weeks, my bad), and now I've gone and changed web hosts. So the site may or may not all be here. Bad news is, in my fit, I didn't back up the forums, so anything that was posted there is gone. The good news is, once I get a few dozen other things caught up, I'm going to remodel the Odd Duck site, again. So for now, I'm going to reload all of the pages that were and put in another forum for Eric and Ray to play on. Just don't be surprised if you turn up in a few weeks and everything is different. Also, if you came looking for The Eric & Ray Show, it's up under it's own domain now, http://www.ericandrayshow.com. The Episodes haven't been uploaded to the new site yet, but should start going up tonight. Don't panic, they will be back soon.

Well, we made it through the Arkansas monsoon season and finally got episodes two and three of The Eric & Ray Show finished. Episode 2 is compressing as I type this and will be uploaded before sunrise. Episode 3 may be tomorrow.
We've opted to go with shorter running times for shorter download times for our fans... all three of you.

Eric and Ray are excited to announce the opening of their own online Comic Book Shop. Take a few minutes and go visit the site. http://www.supercomicguys.com
And yes, this is part of why the second episode is so late in coming. The other reason is I have been sick and haven't had the energy to try to keep either of them in check.

It's up! The first episode of "The Eric & Ray Show" is now online. Go watch it.
02/16/05
Created a new page for viewing of the "What the Hell Happened to Monkey Boy?" trailer. It's a small file and should load very quickly even on a 56k connection. Watch it here.
02/15/05
Watch these pages closely, the World Premiere of "The Eric & Ray Show" is only a few days away!!! With the introduction of a new character bound to evoke a response!!! Am I using too many exclamation points?!?!?!!!!!!
Yes, "The King" is still in pre-production. Yes, we will get around to finishing "What the Hell Happened to Monkey Boy?" Now, be quiet and let us work.
01/26/05
I put in a chat room just for the hell of it.
Things are happening around here even though I'm not posting about them.
The Arkansas Directory Project is going to be off-line for a little while longer, so if you've been wondering what happened to it, it will get it's own domain and a brand new design when I get the time.
12/20/04
Beginning the process of completely rebuilding the site to move it to a new web host. The old one just doesn't suit our purposes anymore.
Also well into rehearsals for "The King".

Been meaning to do this for a couple of weeks and just haven't had the time. Monkey Boy is being salvaged as a documentary. The trailer is up over at the A.I. site. We expect to have it ready by November 1st to meet the entry deadline for the Ozark Foothills Film Festival. If we miss it, oh well, we'll premiere it in Little Rock with as much fanfare as we can muster. I'm not sure how we are going to incorporate Kappa into the documentary footage, she has offered to come back to Arkansas for a few days, but I'd really hate to put her through all that just to tape some interviews.
We'll start shooting The King very soon.
08/21/04
A lot to tell, Monkey Boy has been officially shut down. There were a lot of reasons for doing so, maybe we'll try again someday. In the meantime, there is some work going on with a short written by Pete Jordan. Pete is a great guy with a lot of great ideas.
And I have to announce that Kappa has moved on to the bright lights of Hollywood. We're thinking of putting up a Kappa watch page.
We have been really busy with Arkansas Independent Film & Video over the last few weeks as there is a lot going on with the organization. I'm still not ready to announce anything on that front except for what has already been put up over at the A. I. website.
I won't be releasing any information about the new short until it's in the can except for two things, one it's called "The King" and two Eric has a role. That's all I'm saying.
Thanks to everyone who dropped a line to let us know that they really liked the Monkey Boy script, we like it too, we just got over ambitious with our first film. However, if enough interest is sparked, we may offer the footage we have and the blooper reel for sale. Possibly turning it into a documentary of an ill fated film as a fund raising item for Arkansas Independent.
06/07/04
Yes, I know it has been very quiet around here. We at Duck Headquarters have been very busy, just not so much with the movie, but trust me, there is a lot going on. Soon I'll be back with announcements, until then, courage.
05/14/04
A new project is in the works around here. The Arkansas Directory Project to be exact. If you are in anyway working in independent film in Arkansas (or want to be) follow the above link and get listed in the directory.
05/09/04
Things are a little hectic at the Duck Cave right now. New pics were uploaded a few days ago, if you haven't gone to look click here. Other than that, nothing new to tell. Going to try to get caught up on some chase scenes this week.
If you haven't visited the Message Boards, go do so, there are a few things you may want to check out.
05/01/04
Finished editing the current footage, the film (less than half shot) runs 26 minutes, the blooper reel is 42 minutes, and that's just the funny stuff, we'll have a short film and a feature length blooper reel. This is what happens when you have one professional actress and four Hams.
04/29/04
Just when we think we'll get caught up, it rains again. I've loaded a new page of the photos from the Zoo shoot. I'll try to get some screen caps of the footage and such in the next week or so. The page will henceforth be known as the Photo Diary, for now this is the only link, I'll get links up in the next week or two.
04/27/04
Another update to the Production Diary. What we get is really funny, it's what we aren't getting shot each day that is the problem. And the @!*%~'s who can't be bothered to do as they promised. For the record, if you were sworn to play a part in this thing, we are really, really, really pissed off at you.
04/22/04
We're in Jacksonville, shooting and set building underway. Huge and humorous update to the Production Diary.
04/16/03
Well, there is a really big entry on the Diary page, go read of our latest adventure in filmmaking.
The Shooting Schedule is completed for the days we shoot in Jacksonville. We start bright and early Wednesday morning, Tuesday night will be spent building the set and doing a read through with the boys. Kappa won't make the reading as she is currently appearing in Kiss Me Kate at Murray's during the evenings. Go see her in action we adore Kappa and plan to promote her as shamelessly as we promote ourselves.
04/14/04
Shooting schedule nearly done, and I have to recast Joe, can you hear the swearing from where you sit...
Anyway, the battle scene will be shot in Jacksonville on Saturday, April 24th, and I need all of the Extras I can get, it's a big scene, so if you have nothing planned for Saturday, come on out at 9 a.m.
The links are back up for the Message Boards. And cast changes have been made on the cast page, until we know for sure, Ray is set to play Joe. That could cause serious cast shifting problems, grrr.
04/11/04
Finished the site updates, except for the Message Boards. I'll get to it, I swear. Shooting in Little Rock on Thursday. If you know the time and place, we'll see you there, if you don't, there is probably a reason we haven't told you.
04/04/04
Greetings, a few minor changes around the site today, I needed to do a little page clean up, and while I was at it, I archived all the old posts. The Links to the Message Board are not currently up, I'll get them back up in a few days, it's not like anyone was actually posting anyway.
03/31/04
Only twenty more days until principle photography begins! Nine days of nothing but shooting. For everyone who has been asking I am working on finalizing the shooting schedule, I should have it done in the next few days. Ulead has been abandoned for, oddly enough, WIN DVD Creator, go figure. We're hoping to cast our final actor tomorrow (bit parts are still available, but main cast and child roles are filled), after which I'll update the Cast page. No other news.
03/26/04
Well, I think the computer is just about set up. I'm using Ulead Movie Factory 2 currently for editing, primarily for simplicity, and the ability to capture anything, including the cartoons, with ease. I'm not sure how many audio tracks Ulead is going to give me, so I may abandon it for another program. There's just no telling at this point.
03/24/04
The Duck-station is now running and online. Still installing software and needed programs, and trying to transfer everything from the old laptop to the new desktop, and it's a lot of st?uff so it could take a few days. In another day or two I'll start work on an article for cheap workstation construction. I still haven't installed the capture card so it will be a few more days before I get any of the new clips online.
03/18/04
We shot two scenes yesterday, a full update on the diary page.
03/03/04
Added new pics to the cast page and a long update to the production diary.
02/26/04
Just uploaded some pics, check the cast page. More pics coming soon. Also, check out the about us page, where I have added the whole crew, finally.
02/25/04
Can I get a drum roll please... oh yeah, we don't have any drums at the Duck Headquarters.
We are thrilled to announce we found our Ashley. Still no Joe, as only two people showed up to the auditions and both were female, thanks boys, scared off by a little sleet. Just kidding, we don't really blame you.
A big thanks to Michael and Drake over at The Public Theatre.
So I guess you all want to know who won our hearts and funny bones... Kappa Wood.
As soon as I get this scanner plugged up and figure out how to use it I'll post the headshot and a few pics of the boys entertaining themselves at the auditions. Actually, I'll try to get some shots of all of the boys up, since only Eric, Josh, and Raymond were there, Brad, Jason and Andrew were otherwise occupied.
In other news, Eric's costumes are on order, Josh's will be ordered tomorrow, most likely Brad's as well.
That's a lot of news for one day, it's late, I'm tired, the head Duck is calling it a night and going to bed. I have a lot of e-mails to write tomorrow. If you haven't looked at the new cast page yet, go see.
02/24/04
Tomorrow is the big day, the Auditions! Most of the cast and crew are going to be present at The Public Theatre. We've opened it up to everyone because we have a lot of bit parts we need players for, so be there 5pm tomorrow.
Just put up a brand spanking new page listing the enitire cast and every part. Take a look.
02/13/04
Okay, we hit a few snags, but there it is, the audition date, finally! Micheal and Drake over at The Publc Theatre have been very kind and helpful, and here at the Duck we appreciate them very much.
An addendum to the auditions, if you have no interest in acting, but would like to help out in some other way, show up at the audition, we'll talk.

Episode 2.1 - OYL
Mpeg Format 92MB
We're back and we're weirder than ever. It's not quite One Year Later, but we're calling it that anyway. You'll find out what the guys have been up to all this time.
As for the larger file format, since we know most of our fans are using Broadband, we thought you deserved a bigger picture and better quality. Hey, I could have put up the 334MB uncompressed Mpeg file!
